September 25th, 2024 - Regional Planning Commission Public Hearing
- The Los Angeles County Regional Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing to consider the West San Gabriel Valley Area Plan and Final EIR. A presentation and overview of the project will be given, and any interested person or authorized agent may appear and comment on the project at the hearing. Should you attend, you will have an opportunity to testify, or you can submit written comments prior to the public hearing or at the public hearing. July 18th, 2024 - CEQA - NOA Public Meeting
- A virtual Public Meeting was held on Thursday, July 18th, 2024, at 6:00 PM, to inform the public and interested agencies about the Project and solicit oral and written comments regarding the environmental issues addressed in the Draft PEIR. All interested parties were invited to attend the virtual meeting to discuss environmental issues addressed in the Draft PEIR. The Public Meeting involved presentation reviewing the proposed Project, the environmental review process, and schedule.

October 25th, 2023 - Historic Preservation Workshop
- A Historic Context Statement is being prepared for the West San Gabriel Valley Planning Area. This report will identify historically significant themes and property types and outline registration requirements for County designation. If you have information about buildings, structures, sites, or areas worthy of historic preservation- or about events or people important to the history of Altadena, East Pasadena-East San Gabriel, Kinneloa Mesa, La Crescenta-Montrose, San Pasqual, South El Monte Island, South Monrovia Islands, South San Gabriel, or Whittier Narrows, please contact Katrina Castaneda at kcastaneda@planning.lacounty.gov.
- At a virtual meeting held on Thursday, October 25th, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., the Historic Context Statement was discussed and an overview of the area plan was shared with the public.
2023 Visioning Workshops
- In late 2023, a series of visioning workshops were held throughout the West San Gabriel Valley Planning Area to hear from stakeholders and to learn about issues and opportunities impacting communities.

- Thursday, October 25th, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. (Virtual meeting). This meeting focused on historic preservation efforts in the planning area and provide an overview of the project.
