Connect With A Planner

Virtual Counseling

Connect with a planner through virtual counseling. There are three options for any property in unincorporated LA County. 

Zoning and Planning Discussion

Choose this option if you have draft development plans or project-specific questions for sites in a special area. Special areas include a Significant Ecological Area, hillsides, and Community Standards District. This is also a good option if you need early counseling on more complicated projects.

Case Intake / Online Application Help

Choose this option if you need help submitting an application through our online permitting and inspections portal, EPIC-LA. You will need to be able to share your screen for this option.

Zoning Enforcement Violation Discussion

Choose this option if Zoning Enforcement referred you to discuss abating your violation. You’ll need to provide your violation case number and detailed list of alleged violation(s).

Choose Subdivisions Virtual Counseling if you have general questions regarding the subdivision process, SB 9 and SB 684 Urban Lot Splits, Condominiums, Lot Line Adjustments, Certificates of Compliance and all things related to the creation of new lots. Counseling meetings are available Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.  For more detailed-specific counseling we highly recommend a Pre-Application Counseling meeting.
