CHIQUITA CANYON LANDFILL

Welcome to LA County Planning’s website for Chiquita Canyon Landfill (CCL). Here you will find information and related documents for the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).

CCL is located in the unincorporated community of Castaic in Los Angeles County. The landfill operates under a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) and a Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP) from the county, as well as other state and local entitlements. County Planning responsibilities include overseeing compliance with the terms of the CUP and MMRP by conducting inspections; responding to complaints; participating in technical and community advisory committee meetings; and coordinating closely with other County departments.
