Eaton Fire

The community of Altadena is rich in historic resources, including County landmarks, a pending historic district, California and Nationally listed properties, and properties determined eligible for listing on the County, California and National Registers.    County landmarks are listed on this page and properties with Mills Act contracts are listed on this page. 

The following code sections apply to County landmarks and/or Mills Act contract properties damaged or destroyed by the fire: 

Los Angeles Conservancy has posted Fire Disaster Relief resources on their website, including property tax relief. 

Planning is currently determining fire impacts on historic resources and identifying available resources for historic property owners.   This page will be updated when additional information becomes available.  For questions, please contact preservation@planning.lacounty.gov

Los Angeles County’s Historic Preservation Program is comprised of the County’s Historic Preservation Ordinance that establishes criteria and procedures for the designation, preservation and maintenance of landmarks and historic districts; and the County’s Mills Act Historical Property Contract Program which provides property tax relief to owners of historic properties who are willing to restore and maintain their properties.
