Historic Context Statements
Historic Context Statements document the key themes, events, and patterns that have shaped the built environment of a specific geographic area. They provide the framework and registration criteria used to evaluate the significance of historic resources. Based on this foundation, surveys can be conducted to identify properties that may be eligible for listing on the National, State, or County registers, whether as individual resources or as part of a historic district.
