Los Angeles County is fighting climate change by updating our Climate Action Plan (CAP). The Revised Draft 2045 CAP identifies strategies, measures, and actions to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions from community activities and some municipal operations. Reducing the use of fossil fuels in our cars and homes will result in cleaner air quality and a healthier environment for everyone.
Community members can provide their input by reviewing and commenting on the Revised Draft 2045 CAP and Recirculated Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR). The public review period began on March 16, 2023 and will end on May 15, 2023. Please email your comments to: climate@planning.lacounty.gov
Community members can also fill out the Home Energy Survey to help the County assess what resources residents need to complete home energy upgrades. Examples of home energy upgrades are solar panels, electric appliances, greywater systems, and shade trees.
