The Department of Regional Planning (DRP) of the County of Los Angeles is currently preparing the Metro Area Plan (MAP). The Metro Area is one of eleven planning areas in the County and occupies the urban core of Los Angeles’ metropolitan region. While it includes both incorporated as well as unincorporated communities, the focus of the MAP will be the seven unincorporated communities that lie within, including West Athens-Westmont.
