In coming years, experts predict summers will get dryer and winters will get wetter. That means more droughts, local heat waves, destructive wildfires, rising sea levels, and more frequent coastal flooding. As residents of Los Angeles County, these issues affect us all personally, socially, and economically. It affects how we do business, how we travel, how we grow food, and how we live our daily lives. Everything about our lifestyle can be upturned because of climate change—and when you look at the bigger picture, our planet is suffering.
Fortunately, we’re not helpless. Each one of us can take steps to be more aware and prepared to make a difference.
