Street Naming Committee

The Los Angeles County Street Naming Committee reviews and recommends street name changes to the County Board of Supervisors. Only streets in UNINCORPORATED LA County are under the Committee. The Committee recommends changes only when it agrees that a change should be made.

The Committee consists of:

  • Chair from LA County Planning,
  • Secretary from LA County Planning,
  • Member from County Public Works, and
  • Member from U.S. Postal Service.

Proposed street name changes should remove ambiguities, duplication, or confusion of any kind. All street name changes must also follow the Street Name Policy Statement.
