Wireless Facility
Ordinance

On March 5, 2019, the County Board of Supervisors (Board) instructed the Director of LA County Planning to prepare an ordinance that at minimum defines and establishes standards for the location, height and design of wireless communication facilities; conduct outreach to residents, the wireless communication facilities industry and other interested parties; prepare an appropriate environmental document for the ordinance in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and the County’s environmental review procedures; and present the ordinance and environmental document to the Regional Planning Commission and Board for consideration at their respective public hearings.

The Wireless Facility Ordinance was adopted by the Board on January 10, 2023.
