Visioning Workshops, West San Gabriel Valley Area Plan

The County needs your input! Share your thoughts and ideas on what the community should look like in the future by participating in the visioning process for the West San Gabriel Valley Area Plan. Tell us your ideas and priorities! Share your knowledge about your community and its history. Help guide future development in your community and enhance the quality of life over the coming years.

The Los Angeles County Planning Department invites you to attend a visioning workshop and shape the development of the West San Gabriel Valley Area Plan (WSGVAP).

The WSGVAP is a long-range policy document that will guide the growth and development of the following unincorporated communities in West San Gabriel Valley through comprehensive guiding vision, goals, policies, land use changes, and implementation actions.
• Altadena
• East Pasadena-East San Gabriel
• Kinneloa Mesa
• La Crescenta-Montrose
• San Pasqual
• South Monrovia Islands
• South San Gabriel
• Whittier Narrows

Share your ideas, priorities, and community history to help guide development and enhance quality of life in your community.

Saturday, October 7th, from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at La Crescenta Library
Thursday, October 12th, from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Pamela County Park
Saturday, October 14th, from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Altadena Library
Saturday, October 21st, from 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Temple City Library
Thursday, October 25th, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. (Virtual meeting)
this meeting will focus on historic preservation efforts in the planning area and provide an overview of the project. Register here for the Zoom meeting.

Join us and share your thoughts on options that could benefit unincorporated communities in West San Gabriel Valley and the lives of residents. What types of businesses, housing, and parks would you like to see more of in your community? What do you like most in your community? What opportunities are there to improve your community? The visioning workshops will be held in-person and the historic preservation meeting will be a virtual event.
