We’d like to extend a huge “thank you” to all of the community members who attended our Open House last weekend, including Charles Bostwick of Supervisor Kathryn Barger’s office, and to our Parks and Recreation County family for hosting us at the Jackie Robinson Park Gymnasium in Sun Village.
We’re pleased that so many of you took time out of your busy Saturday morning to come and talk with us about the Community Standards District projects for the communities of Lake Los Angeles, Littlerock, Pearblossom, and Sun Village. In addition to hearing community members’ opinions on the topics proposed in the Concept Drafts, we also enjoyed learning more about each community’s rich history along with recommendations on how the County can help preserve that history.
For those of you who could not attend but are curious about the event, here is a quick recap. We started the morning with a welcome from our Section Head for the AV CSDs team, Mark Herwick. The event was in the format of an “open house,” meaning residents and property owners could come and go as their schedules permitted anytime between 9:30am and 12pm. We had a community table for each of the four communities so residents and property owners could address their community’s Concept Draft and any other concerns they might have at the appropriate table.
We encourage you to continue sharing your comments on the Concept Drafts with us over the next month. Please submit your comments by Wednesday, November 27th, 2019. Visit your community’s page on our website to review your Concept Draft and submit comments using our online comment form. You may also call us at 213-974-6476, Monday through Thursday from 7:30am – 6pm, email us at avcsds@planning.lacounty.gov or send comments to our mailing address:
