New SEA Ordinance is now in effect!

The new SEA Ordinance is now in effect! On December 17, 2019, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Significant Ecological Areas (SEA) Ordinance, which establishes permitting requirements, development standards, and review processes for development within SEAs.  The new ordinance has been in effect since January 16, 2020.

New development projects within SEAs will be subject to the new SEA Ordinance, unless it is exempt. Exemptions and new procedures are listed in the SEA Ordinance. An Implementation Guide is available for more detailed information and guidance.

Please check out the Ordinance and Guide page for links to the SEA Ordinance and Implementation Guide.
