Let’s Be Social

Technology can be an easy way for people to connect. And this is one way we can share information and ask for feedback on the AV CSDs project!

Here are a few ways we can connect online:

PROJECT WEBSITE

The AV CSDs project website is great for up-to-date project information. The website features a Communities section, a one-stop resource that organizes meetings and events, public documents, and background information by community.

Project information is also organized by Documents and Reports, and Meetings and Hearings. The How to Be Involved page describes ways you can provide comments and feedback, including signing up for updates by e-mail.

The blog is a new feature that provides updates, ask for input and/or share interesting facts. Please check out our Blog page and let us know if there’s topics you’d like us to cover!

E-NEWSLETTER

We’ve started a weekly e-newsletter so you can get all the latest by e-mail. It’s easy to subscribe – just send us your e-mail address and we’ll get you set up right away.

FACEBOOK

Facebook is a social networking site where folks post comments, share photos and post links to other news or interesting content (source). The Department has a Facebook page that anyone can see, and includes upcoming events or meetings. You can search for project-specific posts by using the hashtag #AVCSDs.

TWITTER

Twitter is an online news and social networking site where folks post information, photos and share other articles or posts using short messages called tweets (source). The Department has a Twitter page, which provides information about the Department, various projects, and shares other interesting planning or County news. You can follow the Department (@LACDRP) for our posts to show up on your newsfeed, and search for project-specific tweets by using the hashtag #AVCSDs.

INSTAGRAM

Instagram is an online social networking app where folks share photos and videos (source). You can follow the Department (@LACDRP) for our posts to show up on your newsfeed, and search for project-specific tweets by using the hashtag #AVCSDs.

NEXTDOOR

Nextdoor is a private online social network where folks can share information with their neighbors and community (source). The Department posts information from time to time, and focuses on those communities most affected by or where relevant.

Not a tech person? Not to worry! We have paper copies of much of our project information, and we’re developing more in the future. We’ll be making these available throughout the Antelope Valley.

Please let us know of any places you think are best to drop off hard copies or how you prefer to get your information, by completing this quick 2-minute online Communication Preferences Survey

Our goal is for easy access to all of the project information, and for you to easily share with your friends and family, neighbors, and community… Thanks for letting us be social with you!
