GIS Data

LA County Planning provides GIS data germane to the county’s unincorporated areas in downloadable and web consumable formats. We update layers and add new layers as available. Data is provided to the public at no cost whenever possible. Licensing restrictions, privacy concerns, or third-party ownership of data are potential reasons for otherwise not sharing it publicly. Our list of open data is below.

The Enterprise GIS Hub (eGIS Hub) is where the layers above are available for download. The “File Formats” links direct to the layer’s download page in the eGIS Hub. “Web Service” links direct to the layer’s item details in ArcGIS Online where the service URL can be used to add it to a web map. Please note: the eGIS Hub not only hosts open GIS data for LA County Planning, but for all county departments.

Contact gis@planning.lacounty.gov for more information.
