Part of Cruzan Mesa Vernal Pools SEA annexed to City of Santa Clarita

On November 15, 2018, approximately 3,118 acres of inhabited areas (Plum Canyon, Skyline Ranch, and North Sand Canyon) of unincorporated LA County were annexed to the City of Santa Clarita. The Cruzan Mesa Vernal Pools SEA was entirely within the unincorporated areas of LA County before the annexation. As a result of the annexation, a large portion of the Cruzan Mesa Vernal Pools SEA is now within the City of Santa Clarita. Our GIS-NET SEA layer has been updated to reflect the changes from the annexation. Click here to view the completed LAFCO annexation document.
