Concept Drafts: AVCSDs Next Step

Most of the 14 participating Antelope Valley communities have already met with the County to discuss their proposed topics or issues and how they want them addressed in their CSD, and Regional Planning has been using information from those discussions to create Concept Drafts for each updated or proposed CSD.

The Concept Drafts are in plain language to clearly communicate the proposed topics, issues, and community ideas, but most importantly to express the intent of the community in updating their CSD. The ordinance draft language phases of the project, such as the “Open House Draft” and “Regional Planning Commission Draft” will appear after extensive community outreach has been completed.

The first batch of Concept Drafts were drafted from discussions with Town Councils or community representatives. Those Concept Drafts are for the communities of:

• Leona Valley;
• Green Valley; and
• Lake Los Angeles.

These drafts are available on our website under the Documents and Reports tab and/or the Communities tab. We are now actively seeking comments from residents or property owners within these communities on their respective Concept Draft.

The next round of Concept Drafts will be released to the public for comment as soon as they are finalized with the Town Councils or CSD Working Groups.

Please check our website regularly for these updates. When these Concept Drafts are released, we will be welcoming the public’s comments on those documents as well.
