The Department of Regional Planning performs all land use planning functions for the
unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. Our services include long range planning, land development counseling, project/case intake and processing, environmental review and zoning enforcement for each of our County unincorporated communities. Department Spotlight
The County’s Green Building Program is working to create healthier, longer-lasting and more environmentally friendly buildings and developments. Three ordinances work to make the County more energy and water efficient, reduce its carbon footprint, be more environmentally responsible and work toward becoming a more sustainable county.
