I’ve been a resident of Pearblossom, CA for about 10 years now. I was very pleased after many years to see sidewalks recently added and Pearblossom Highway paved and painted through Pearblossom. Huge improvement and it looks great. I still think the speed limit is too high (50) through there, but that’s for another time.

I was wondering if anything was being done to address the dilapidated buildings/businesses while going through Pearblossom on Pearblossom Highway. Many, especially the wood buildings, have not weathered well in the desert and look on the verge of falling down or catching fire. There’s a lot of potential for businesses and servicing travelers coming through Pearblossom Highway that seems to be lost.

Finally, on a positive note, it has been really great to see there is a new solar power array/plant as you come into Pearblossom. What a great idea to use the almost unlimited space and sunshine we have in this area. I hope the solar plant expands and that the infrastructure in town improves to support real growth and vitality.
