On August 14, 2018, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors introduced an interim ordinance to regulate rents in mobilehome parks within the unincorporated County. A Mobilehome Rent Regulation Ordinance is now proposed to replace the interim ordinance.
The proposed ordinance would include:
- An annual cap on space rent increases,
- Protections for residents against impacts to services and maintenance with reduced space rents,
- A requirement for park owners to complete an annual report on occupancy, rental rates, services, and amenities provided by the park,
- and more!
The County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs is looking for your thoughts and suggestions on the proposed Mobilehome Rent Regulation Ordinance.
