Multifamily Residential Parking Study

LOS ANGELES COUNTY LAUNCHES NEW PROJECT TO EVALUATE, UPDATE PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR MULTIFAMILY HOUSING IN UNINCORPORATED AREAS

Los Angeles County has launched a new project to update the current requirements governing how new multifamily housing developments must construct parking in the County’s unincorporated communities. The project is intended to create new requirements that better reflect changing community needs for personal vehicle parking, enable more plentiful and more affordable housing options in unincorporated areas countywide, and encourage the use of a wide range of transportation choices.

Community members can provide their input on parking, mobility, and housing affordability in the County’s unincorporated communities by completing a 10-minute Community Questionnaire. Community members will also be invited to participate in workshops on the requirements in Spring or Summer 2022.
