Interdepartmental Engineering Committee (IEC)
The Los Angeles County Interdepartmental Engineering Committee (“IEC”) reviews all proposed realignments of highways as mapped on the Los Angeles County Master Plan of Highways. IEC is composed of the Departments of Public Works and Regional Planning, and meet on an as needed basis. IEC meetings also allow applicants and neighbors to comment on proposed realignments before approved by the County Engineer.
