Accessory Dwelling Unit Ordinance
On January 1, 2020, the State enacted new laws for accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and junior accessory dwelling units (JADUs). On October 13, 2020, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Accessory Dwelling Unit Ordinance, which amends Title 22 (Planning and Zoning) of the Los Angeles County Code to establish development standards and case processing procedures for ADUs and JADUs in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.
