Willowbrook Transit Oriented District Specific Plan

Previous Drafts:

The Willowbrook Transit-Oriented District (TOD) Specific Plan will contain development policies that will implement the recommendations and vision of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Medical Campus Master Plan and other planning efforts in Willowbrook. The Willowbrook TOD Specific Plan is expected to be adopted by the Board of Supervisors by 2017.

Being able to live, work and shop near transit reduces car dependence and promotes walking and bicycling. The Willowbrook TOD Specific Plan creates an opportunity to preserve the existing character of the neighborhood while maximizing the benefit of the Rosa Parks/Imperial Metro station by 1) facilitating a mix of housing and businesses along transit corridors, 2) increasing economic activity, 3) facilitating public infrastructure investments and 4) streamlining the environmental review process for future infrastructure and development projects.
