Tree Benefits

Oak trees are an important part of the character of communities in Los Angeles County in which they thrive. Trees in general offer both economic and environmental benefits to individual property owners and to the community.

Trees provide economic benefits to individual property owners such as lowering electricity bills during the summer and the presence of mature trees may raise property values up to 20% compared with neighboring properties. Trees provide environmental benefits to the community such as shade and cooler temperatures inside and out, prevention of soil erosion, water conservation and improved air quality.
