Los Angeles County’s GIS Day 2011 Event
Wednesday, November 16, 2011
Maps underpin many of our County services. Created using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), we use our maps for planning, tracking, responding, analyzing, comparing, routing, visualizing and understanding our work, our constituents and our world.
Learn more at this year’s GIS Day! Many County GIS groups are coming together to show you how we use GIS every day, how it is woven into the fabric of the work that we do and how it informs our decisions. Come see how GIS supports you as a County resident. Find out how our County GIS groups cooperate to benefit all. Our event will feature demonstrations, a general and technical presentation track, a map gallery, a game and even a GIS Day cake!
