Los Angeles County Dept of Regional Planning will hold a second community meeting on the proposed revamp of the Leona Valley Community Standards District (CSD), September 27, 2010, at the Community Center, starting at 7:00 pm. (For location details, see the Notice above.) The proposal has been revised based on feedback from the first community meeting in 2008.
A CSD is a set of special zoning rules which apply to only one community, and may include rules for building and development such as minimum lot size, setbacks, building design, grading and protection of scenic ridgelines.
At the meeting, County staff will explain the proposal, answer questions and hear comments from the public. This input, as well as written comments received, will help determine the next steps, whether to move forward towards legal adoption, which would include hearings before the Regional Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors.
