Y-PLAN (Youth – Plan, Learn, Act, Now) is a research initiative within the Center for Cities + Schools (CC+S) at UC Berkley. It is an award-winning educational strategy that empowers young people to tackle real-world problems in their communities through project-based civic learning experiences. Y-PLAN has engaged thousands of young people and dozens of schools, teachers, and civic partners across the United States and around the world. With sponsorship from the Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn, the East San Gabriel Valley Area Team will be collaborating with Y-PLAN and Rowland Heights High for the 2019-20 academic year.
