The San Gabriel Valley

The San Gabriel Valley is one of the major geographic areas of Southern California. The Valley is bounded by the San Gabriel Mountains to the north, the Chino Hills and San Jose Hills to the east, the Puente Hills to the South, and the San Rafael Hills to the west. The Valley is named after the southward flowing San Gabriel River, which runs through the center of the San Gabriel Valley, and serves as one of the boundaries of the East San Gabriel Valley Planning Area.
