Stories from the East San Gabriel Valley

A People’s Map: Stories from the East San Gabriel Valley is an oral history and portrait project made in collaboration with the LA County Department of Regional Planning. As a community engagement component to the Department’s East San Gabriel Valley Area Plan, “A People’s Map” celebrates personal and community stories while seeking to better understand the shared identity of the region, how and where people come together, and the ways in which the area is changing.

A People’s Map: Stories from the East San Gabriel Valley es un proyecto de historias orales y retratos fotográficos hecho en colaboración con el Departamento de Planeamiento Regional del Condado de Los Angeles. Como parte de la iniciativa de participación del Plan de Area del Este del Valle de San Gabriel, “A People’s Map” celebra las historias personales y comunitarias del área mientras que busca descubrir la identidad de la región, cómo y dónde se congregan las personas, y las maneras en que el área está cambiando.
