Marina del Rey Periodic Review
The California Coastal Commission has been working on a review of the Marina del Rey Local Coastal Program. The Department of Regional Planning anticipates that the Coastal Commission will adopt their Periodic Review recommendations in October 2008. The Department is seeking community involvement in our response to their recommendations.

Upcoming Events
April 2010 – Board of Supervisors
The County’s draft response the Marina del Rey Local Coastal Program Periodic Review will be presented to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for their consideration on April 6, 2010. The public is invited to attend the meeting and speak on the draft Report. The meeting will be held:
- Tuesday, April 6th, 9:30 a.m., 500 West Temple Street, Room 381B, Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration in Los Angeles.
Upon approval, the final report will be transmitted to the California Coastal Commission by April 29, 2010.

February 2010 – April 2010 Advisory Body Review and Meetings
Regional Planning has completed draft responses to California Coastal Commission’s recommendations in the Marina del Rey Local Coastal Program Periodic Review. These responses represent a collaborative effort between several County departments as well as the Marina del Rey community, particularly the Working Groups who provided detailed comments and responses on the Coastal Commission’s recommendations to Regional Planning staff.

Regional Planning now seeks input on the draft responses from several County advisory bodies. Regional Planning staff will meet with the following advisory bodies in February:
- Small Craft Harbor Commission – Wed., Feb. 10th, 9:30 a.m., Chace Park
- Design Control Board – Wed., Feb. 17th, 6:30 p.m., Chace Park
- Regional Planning Commission – Wed., Feb. 24th, 9:00 a.m., Downtown Los Angeles
Comments on the draft responses are always welcome. Comments may be submitted to Regional Planning staff either at the advisory body meetings or in any of the following ways:

Once Regional Planning staff has taken into consideration all comments received, a revised draft response will be presented in a report to the Board of Supervisors for their consideration in early April. The Board of Supervisors must approve the final report that will be submitted to the California Coastal Commission.
November 2008 - April 2009
The Working Groups will meet with the Department of Regional Planning to discuss their responses to the Coastal Commission’s recommendations.
May 13, 2009 Community Meeting
The Working Groups will present to the Marina del Rey community their responses to the Coastal Commission’s LCP Periodic Review recommendations.
