Vision Lennox seeks to develop a shared vision for the future of the Lennox community through a highly collaborative and participatory process. Through a series of workshops and meetings with community stakeholders and County service providers, a vision document and poster plan will be developed that are broad in scope and focus on long-term goals for the community related to land-use, transportation, and economic revitalization.
The project is being funded by SCAG (Southern California Association of Governments) through the Compass Blueprint Demonstration Project Grant. Through this grant, the Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning will work in close collaboration with Raimi + Associates, a land use planning firm based in Berkeley, California, to conduct the public participation process and create the vision plan.
Upcoming Community Events
Community participation is at the heart of the planning process. Residents, business owners and other stakeholders are invited to share their ideas regarding the future of Lennox at community workshops and events. The ideas, concerns, and priorities voiced by participants will help shape many long-term and some short-term outcomes within the community. Three community workshops were held in March, April, and May of 2010. Summaries for each workshop are below.
