What is groundtruthing?

Groundtruthing is surveying and documenting environmental hazards in a community through collaboration with community members. For the Green Zones Program, the groundtruthing efforts will be conducted in partnership with two environmental justice organizations in the pilot communities, East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice (EYCEJ) in East Los Angeles, and Communities for Better Environment (CBE) in Florence-Firestone. This effort is funded by the California Strategic Growth Council.
