Baldwin Hills Community Standards District (CSD) Periodic Review Public Survey

In December 2008, the County of Los Angeles adopted a new set of standards to regulate oil and gas development and production at the PXP Inglewood Oil Field. The standards are known as the Baldwin Hills Community Standards District (CSD) for the portion of the Inglewood Oil Field located in the Baldwin Hills Zoned District.

Section G.7 of the CSD requires that the County conduct a comprehensive review of the CSD at least every five years to determine if the provisions of the CSD are adequately protecting the health, safety, and general welfare. The review shall consider whether additional provisions should be added, appended, or removed and to evaluate if proven technological advances that would further reduce impacts of oil operations on neighboring land uses should be incorporated into the provisions of the CSD.

The Department of Regional Planning is initiating this review by asking members of the public to respond to an on-line survey regarding oil field operations and the CSD. The results of the survey will be used by the Department of Regional Planning as part of the Periodic Review Process. Responses to each survey question are limited to 1,000 characters.
